Hillside Garden Center will design a maintenance plan for your yard and gardens that includes  weeding, monitoring and controlling pests, pruning trees and shrubs, deadheading perennials, spring and fall cleanups and more. We will do this on a weekly, bi-weekly, monthly or on an as-needed basis.

 

We are not out to see how fast we can mow a lawn and move on. Instead we will monitor plant health, weeds and other conditions at each visit as agreed to.

Most of the pruning done in this area by ‘lawn care’ companies and homeowners is done improperly or at the wrong time. This can lead to INCREASED maintenance and increased incidence of insect and disease problems. If you need pruning tips please call or stop in anytime.

Hillside Garden Center staff are experts at ‘dormant pruning’, done October – April. When we have only 6 months to enjoy leaves and active growth on plants, why hack them back and stress them out in the middle of the summer?

We have NYS Certified Pesticide Applicators on staff. Our policy is to treat pests only if necessary, treat only the actual pest problem and use the least toxic (soft) products available for treatment if possible.
