Perennials Print E-mail
Perennials grow and bloom over the spring, summer and fall and then die back every autumn and winter, returning in the spring from their root-stock. They are also known as herbaceous perennials. These plants include peonies, black-eyed susan and Iris. There are also biennials such as foxglove that grow from seed the first season only producing foliage and then the following season produce flower and then seed, starting the cycle again.
